As a historical writer, I am drawn to historical figures who blazed new trails, stood their ground in times of crisis, and brought about – or anticipated – societal changes on the horizon. My thoroughly researched historical narratives focus on the human side of their protagonists – their strengths and weaknesses, ambitions and contradictions – to bring them to life on the page as real, flesh-and-blood individuals. Concisely presented historical facts provide the stage upon which their life stories unfold. This approach creates a vivid and engaging reading experience.
